FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CALGARY, AB – Future Considerations Hockey today announced Connor McDavid of Team Canada (Erie Otters) as the World Junior edition of the Pacific4 Sports Management draft eligible Forward of the month for December.

Returning from a wrist injury in time to represent Canada at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship, McDavid didn’t skip a beat in recording three goals and 11 points in seven games en route to a gold medal finish. McDavid’s 11 points placed him in a first-place tie for the tournament lead in points while his eight assists were also a tournament-best.

“McDavid came into the event with huge amounts of pressure on his shoulders and despite a slow start he really improved and came on when it mattered most in the medal rounds,” Future Considerations scouting director Dan Stewart said. ” You could really see his game and confidence grow with each shift and while Canada rolled four lines pretty consistently he did stand out, especially towards the end.

“I’ll just say to fans, buy your tickets this year to watch McDavid in Erie because it will cost you a lot more to see #97 play in the NHL next year.”

McDavid, who also served as an alternate captain for Canada, is currently first in Future Considerations’ December ranking for the 2015 NHL Draft.
