FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CALGARY, AB — Future Considerations Hockey today announced Dylan Strome of the Erie Otters as the Pacific4 Sports Management draft eligible Forward of the month for September.

The 17-year-old has been dominant through the start of his draft year, leading the Ontario Hockey League with 10 points in three games by way of one goal and nine assists while recording a plus-6 rating.

“Dylan carried over his fierce preseason play early into the OHL regular season where he had the look of a prospect on a mission to earn a top five draft selection,” Future Considerations scouting director Dan Stewart said. “His first three games were all dominant performances on the road as he led the Erie Otters offensive attack.

“His mobility looks improved, more fluid and balanced, and he is definitely physically stronger this season as is his already lethal wrist-shot; making him dangerous to both set up his teammates with deft passes and also finish off plays himself.”

Strome, of Mississauga, ON, is in his second OHL season with the Otters after being chosen second overall by Erie in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection. He scored 10 goals and 39 points in 60 games as a rookie last season.

He’s 7th in Future Considerations’ October ranking for the 2015 NHL Draft.

Also considered for the award was Otters teammate Connor McDavid. McDavid, who tops Future Considerations’ October ranking, had three goals and eight points while registering a plus-5 rating in three games.
