The Dallas Stars have signed first round pick Jamie Oleksiak to a three-year entry level contract Thursday.

Oleksiak, selected 14th overall in June’s Entry Draft, has one goal in five games for the Saginaw Spirit this season. As a member of the Northeastern Huskies, the six-foot-seven, 245-pound defenseman had four goals and 13 points in 38 games.

A dual citizen, Oleksiak is a candidate to represent Canada at the 2012 World Junior Championship.
