CALGARY, AB — Future Considerations today announced Alex Nedeljkovic of the Plymouth Whalers as the Double Blue Sports draft eligible Goaltender of the Month for February.
Nedeljkovic was outstanding last month, sporting a 7-2-0-2 record with an incredible 2.06 goals against average and .949 save percentage in 11 games for the Whalers. In eight of his starts, the Parma, OH native allowed two or fewer goals.
The 18-year-old is 23-26-0-7 this season with a 2.96 goals against average and .924 save percentage. He’s ranked fourth among Future Considerations’ goaltenders and 58th overall for the upcoming 2014 NHL Draft.
Also considered for the award was Alex Bureau of the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. Bureau posted a 4-3-0 record with a 3.06 goals against average and .902 save percentage in seven appearances in January.
