Aaron Haydon was called, but he can’t go.

The Niagara IceDogs defenseman, who represented Team USA at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial, is out 4-to-6 weeks after breaking his foot at a team golf outing. The injury will force him to miss the second annual CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game. Haydon was one of 40 chosen to participate in the scouting event.

“Honored and excited to be chosen to play in this years CCM Hockey All-American Prospects game in Pittsburg,” tweeted Haydon on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound rearguard followed that tweet up with another.

“Broken foot. 3-4 weeks.”

In 42 games for the IceDogs last season, Haydon had four goals and 10 points.
