Kelowna Rockets captain Colton Sissons is out for upwards of a month after suffering a concussion, the latest 2012 NHL Entry Draft eligible to suffer a serious injury this season.

Sissons was injured in the team’s 3-2 loss to the Kamloops Blazers on Feb. 11th.

“The frustrating part of it is the league is fully aware of Colton having a concussion and, yet, the player in Kamloops is still playing, so there’s no suspension,” Kelowna coach Ryan Huska told DubNation. “They talk about head shots and wanting to clean it up, but there we go with another situation.”

Sissons, considered by many to be the best draft eligible forward available from the Western Hockey League, is one of over a dozen notable names suffering and/or recovering from a serious injury this season.
