Artturi Lehkonen is set to lead Finland into the World Under-18 Championship from April 18th to 28th in Sochi, Russia.

Lehkonen, 18th overall in Future Considerations March ranking for the 2013 NHL Draft, was second in goals (14) and points (30) for KalPa this season.

Finland will be without its top-ranked prospect for the 2013 draft heading into the tournament.

Aleksander Barkov, fourth in Future Considerations March ranking for the 2013 NHL Draft, suffered a season-ending shoulder injury on March 27th and will not be able to participate in the event that showcases some of the draft’s top European talent.

The duo were the only two ranked in Future Considerations’ top-100 Midterm.
