USHL names rosters for Top Prospects Game

Jachym Kondelik highlights the 40 players named to participate in the 2018 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game.

The 2018 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game that will take place on Jan. 9, 2018 in Kearney, NE at the Viaero Center, home of the Tri-City Storm.

The rosters were completed in cooperation with National Hockey League general managers and scouts, NHL Central Scouting, and USHL general managers. Each player named is eligible for the 2018 NHL Draft.

Kondelik, 47th in Future Considerations’ Fall ranking for the 2018 NHL Draft, has three goals and nine points in 17 games for the Muskegon Lumberjacks this season. He had 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) in 43 games as a rookie with Muskegon last season.

Jack Drury, ranked 99th, will also participate in the exhibition.

Team East

Defensemen: Hugo Blixt (Tri-City); Michael Callahan (Central Illinois); Xan Gurney (Chicago); Graham Lillibridge (Chicago); Aidan Fulp (Dubuque); Marc Del Gaizo (Muskegon).

UPDATES: 

-Waterloo Black Hawks forward Ben Copeland was added to Team East, replacing forward Jachym Kondelik. Kondelik was injured over the course of the World Junior A Challenge and World Junior Championship training camp with Team Czech Republic.

-Waterloo Black Hawks forward Matej Blumel has been added to Team West, replacing Fargo Force forward Jacob Schmidt-Svejstrup, who will not be able to compete due to injury.

-Tri-City Storm defenseman Hugo Blixt was added to Team East, replacing Dubuque Fighting Saints defenseman Jacob Semik, who will not be able to compete due to injury.
