Brett Leason retained his scoring lead in the Western Hockey League, and nabbed an honor in the process.

Leason, who is eligible for the 2019 NHL Draft after going unselected in 2018, was named WHL Player of the Week after recording 10 points (six goals, four assists) and a plus-eight rating in three games for the Prince Albert Raiders.

The totals helped push Prince Albert’s winning streak to 16 straight games. The Raiders, at 23-1-0-0, are ranked first in the Canadian Hockey League.

Leason, 19, leads the WHL with 54 points (25 goals, 29 assists) in 24 games.

He was selected in the third round (No. 50) of the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft, and has 105 points (49 goals, 56 assists) in 159 career WHL games.
