Nico Hischier could be taking his exploits to the global stage. Again.

Hischier has been named to Switzerland’s preliminary roster for the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Hischier, 20th in Future Considerations’ Fall ranking for the 2017 NHL Draft, has 22 goals and 47 points in 29 games for the Halifax Mooseheads this season, and was named QMJHL First Star for the month of November.

The 17-year-old had two assists in six games for Switzerland at the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship, and has also represented his country twice at both the World Under-18 Championship and Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup.
