Matt Boldy left his impression at the USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game on Wednesday.

Boldy, who plays for the United States National Team Development Program, scored twice, including the game-tying goal, with 1:07 left in regulation, to lift Team Langenbrunner to a 6-4 win over Team Leopold.

The 17-year-old, 33rd in Future Considerations’ preliminary ranking for the 2019 NHL Draft, earned Player of the Game honours for his efforts.

“I felt good this morning, but I didn’t think I had that in me,” Boldy told NHL.com. “I thought I showed scouts how I like to play with the puck, attack the net and show my creativity. I thought it was an exciting game.”

The game featured 42 of the top American-born prospects eligible for the 2019 draft, including consensus top pick Jack Hughes, forwards Alex Turcotte (ranked No. 2), Arthur Kaliyev (No. 11), Trevor Zegras (No. 25), and defensemen Cole Caufield (21), Marshall Warren (No. 28) and Chase McCarthy (No. 3). Spencer Knight, the draft’s top-ranked goaltender at No. 17, also played in the prospects showcase.
