The big physical winger is not afraid to mix it up and works hard every game. Ullstrom has a good scoring touch around the net and knows where to get to for a quality opportunity. He goes to the front of the net and will take a beating a la Ryan Smith and Tomas Holmstrom. Ullstrom offensive skills are not refined but he does have a sense of where he will be most effective on the ice. He will not be a primary scoring threat but rather a support player who plays up to the level of his line mates. His skating is an area that needs some attention although it should not hold him back. He is also not a reliable defensive performer. (May 2008)
