A big body with some offensive skill. Has a great frame and uses it but not consistently. Has soft hands that allows him to handle the puck in traffic and create offensive chances out of nothing. Has a very good shot. Seems to lack the hockey sense and awareness needed to continue his development as an offensive player. Better at finishing than playmaking but for some reason he tries to play the role of the passer instead of going with this strengths. Looks as though he may make it as a complementary power forward who can score the odd goal and drop the gloves. Does not take his defensive responsibilities seriously and more often oats back into his zone. Leaves a lot to be desired in the compete level but the raw talent is unquestionable. (May 2010)
