Created and developed in the summer of 2007, Future Considerations is hockey’s premier source for information on prospects around the world.

Based in Calgary, AB and has a staff of writers that span the globe. With writers in both North America and Europe, Future Considerations is truly a global effort.

But the pipeline of tomorrow’s stars today does not end there. A new wave of hockey prospects is trickling into the forefront, grabbing attention for the games next generation.

Future Considerations was there when the New York Islanders made John Tavares the first overall pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. FC saw Steven Stamkos selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2009. With back-to-back-to-back first overall picks, Future Considerations watched Taylor Hall, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Nail Yakupov join the Edmonton Oilers.

Aaron Vickers

Managing Editor

Aaron Vickers is the managing editor of Future Considerations and developed the concept after graduating from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technologies' Journalism Arts program in 2007. Vickers has been involved in hockey's media community for over a decade and has been published in the Tennessean, on NHL.com, CalgaryFlames.com, Hockey Now and Hockey's Future. He has appeared on both The Pipeline Show on The Team 1260 in Edmonton and The Fan 960 in Calgary.

Dan Stewart

Director of Scouting

Dan Stewart is the Director of Scouting for Future Considerations and has been on board with the magazine since its inception back in the summer of 2007. Stewart has been involved in scouted talent for the better part of ten years. Initially coming on board as head scout and serving as primary draft writer with FC over the past five seasons, he was recently named scouting director heading a crew of over a dozen FC scouts from Victoria to Nova Scotia, Portland to Massachusetts and Russia to Sweden. Stewart covers the OHL, some USHL and some NCAA talent as well as the responsibility of compiling a book on hundreds of draft prospects throughout the year.
