Jacob Trouba can be described as many things. He can add Wolverine to that list.
The 2012 draft eligible defenseman took to twitter to announce he has committed to the University of Michigan hockey program headed by Red Berenson.
“Commited,” Trouba tweeted. “It’s great to be a Michigan Wolverine!”
Trouba’s commitment ends speculation that the six-foot-two, 185-pound member of the National Team Development Program might jump to the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League next season.
The Rangers selected him in the third round of the OHL’s Priority Selection.
