Three Ontario Hockey League-based 2013 NHL Draft eligibles are set to take on Russia.

Sean Monahan, Max Domi and Kerby Rychel have been called to represent Team OHL in the league’s installment of the 2012 Subway Super Series, an event that pits the three CHL leagues against Russian juniors in a six-game exhibition set.

Monahan, Future Considerations’ top ranked OHL skater for the draft, is no stranger to squaring off against the Russians. The 18-year-old represented Canada at this summer’s Canada-Russia Challenge and has gotten off to a hot start with 11 assists and 15 points in 11 games. He’ll participate in the OHL’s opening game in Guelph.

Domi and Rychel will take to the ice in the second of two games in Sarnia.

Rychel sits with a share of the top-10 in league scoring with eight goals in 13 games after scoring 41 goals in 68 games a season ago. He’s currently ranked 19th for the 2013 NHL Draft.

Domi, 12th in Future Considerations’ October ranking, earned his way onto the team after an incredible start that has him among the league’s leading scorers. The league’s highest-scoring draft eligible, the five-foot-10 forward has six goals and 19 points in 11 games.

Nikita Zadorov, Domi’s London Knights teammate, will suit up for the Russians. Zadorov was selected ninth overall in the CHL Import Draft. The hulking six-foot-five defenseman has three assists and 18 penalty  minutes in 11 games.
