Zachary Sawchenko didn’t slow after going unselected in the 2016 NHL Draft.

The Moose Jaw Warriors goaltender earned himself the Western Hockey League’s Eastern Conference top goaltender nod, and a nomination for the league’s top goaltender award after posting a 30-14-7 record with a 2.79 goals against average and a .917 save percentage.

Sawchenko, 19, was 75th in Future Considerations final ranking for the 2016 NHL Draft. He is eligible to be selected in 2017.
