Forward Michael Rasmussen will miss up to three months because of a fractured wrist, Tri-City Americans general manager Bob Tory announced Thursday.

Rasmussen, 20th in Future Considerations’ Winter ranking for the 2017 NHL Draft, will not require surgery for the injury.

“Michael will be re-examined by hand and wrist specialist, Dr. Rodney French, of Vancouver, BC in six weeks,” Tory said in a release. “At that point, we should have a better idea of his return date.”

Rasmussen, 17, has not played since Feb. 1 against the Everett Silvertips.

He has 32 goals and 55 points in 50 games this season.
