With the 29th overall selection in the National Hockey League Draft, Future Considerations selects…

…Malcolm Subban!

Though just a season removed from being the 24th overall pick in the 2012 NHL Draft by the Boston Bruins, Subban is quickly establishing himself as one of the elite goaltending prospects around.

The 19-year-old was dazzling with the Belleville Bulls this season, recording a stingy 2.14 goals against average and .934 save percentage, both improvements over his draft season. Subban was also the starting goaltender for Canada at the 2013 World Junior Championship.

Subban — the first North American goaltender selected last year — is the younger brother of Montreal Canadiens defenseman PK Subban. Jordan Subban, the youngest of the three, is eligible for the 2013 NHL Draft.
