Rankings Rewind: FC’s 12th overalls

Aaron Vickers2016 Draft Center

With the 12th overall selection in the National Hockey League Draft, Future Considerations selects…

Ryan Johansen.

After the Columbus Blue Jackets made Johansen the fourth overall pick in 2010, the Port Moody, BC product exploded in his final season with the Portland Winterhawks, scoring 40 goals and adding 52 assists in 63 games.

As a pro, Johansen hasn’t quite had the same offensive success as he finds himself. In 107 career NHL games, the 6-foot-3, 196-pound pivot has 14 goals and 33 points but has shown flashes of why he was one of the most highly regarded prospects three seasons ago.
