Forwards Jesse Puljujarvi and Patrick Laine, both eligible for the 2016 NHL Draft, were among the 27 players invited to Finland’s selection camp for the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Puljujarvi, who has five goals and 12 points in 28 games for Kärpät, is 3rd in Future Considerations’ November ranking for the 2016 draft.

“I’m looking forward to seeing his rushes down the wing as his skating and high velocity shot should be on full display for the Finns,” Future Considerations scouting director Dan Stewart said. “Let’s hope he hits the net more than he did last year.”

Laine, ranked 5th, has eight goals and 13 points in 22 games for Tappara.

“He will get plenty of love form those who have not seen the big, strong one-timer triggerman scoring goals this season,” Stewart said. “He will need to bring his game consistently which should not be a problem given the national pride on home ice which is at stake.”

London Knights defenseman Olli Juolevi was also named to the camp roster. He has four goals and 23 points in 27 games as a rookie in the Ontario Hockey League.
