Bogosian is a hard nosed defender who plays a solid two-way game that includes a real strong physical element. He plays with such composure and maturity that in terms of his leadership it is almost like a father playing pond hockey with his boys. Bogosian is very smart and has great on ice awareness. He skates well and has a very smooth stride while displaying good pivots. He can rush the puck or use a well-placed outlet pass for breakout plays. His shot is cannon-like because of his strength and can be used as a weapon on the PP. He displays solid defensive positioning and used his stick to check attackers effectively on the PK. Bogosian plays physical along the boards and while clearing the crease as well as being able to handle himself during fisticuffs. He has good hockey sense and does not panic when pressured. He is a very competitive player who hates to lose. (May 2008)
