A strong, mobile defender who moves well…adapts to the incoming play very well…is strong on his feet, possessing a smooth backward stride, and overall mobility…takes his chances with the puck on his stick not slowing down while in possession…sees the ice very well and makes good quick decisions with the puck…dishes a quick and heavy pro-like outlets to his forwards…shows quick instincts to get on the loose puck during the penalty kill and defensive situations… does an excellent job of tying up his man in front of the net and breaking up prime scoring chances…does a good job forcing players wide and keeping the play out of the middle…plays a physical game in his own end making life difficult on opponents…displays solid leadership and communication skills…a smart, instinctual defenceman who has high potential as he continues to develop.   (November 2016)
