The hard working forward is very raw in his development but has already displayed skills that have scouts noticing. Grant does a lot of things well including making smart plays with and without the puck. He skates well and being a big guy he can play a strong game on the wall. He has a good shot and impressive on-ice vision. Being early in his development, Grant will not be ready to make the jump to the pros for a few years. He needs to add strength and also assert himself more on the physical side of things. He does not have high-end puck skills nor does he possesses great creativity. (May 2008)
