A centre in junior ranks, Salminen has looked every bit of an NHL prospect this season. He is a big defensive-minded forward who has some physicality and energy in him. Has hidden offensive potential thanks to good vision and above average passing ability. Much improved skating from last season could still use work as well as puck handling. (May 2013)
