A big, rangy playmaking centre who sees the ice well. Has a decent stride but needs to add strength and lengthen his stride in order to improve his so-so speed. Uses his size to protect the puck and make room for himself. Has a nice release on his wrister. Has soft hands and can maintain the puck while linemates get open. Shows that he can play a solid two-way game but does not do so consistently. Takes shifts off every game. Needs to ll out and ramp up the intensity in his game. Does not use his size enough. Often times leaves you wanting more out of the package he has been given. (May 2010)
