A mobile two-way defender who has nice offensive skills…reads the play well and pinches when opportunity presents itself…has good hand-eye coordination and holds the line well on the PP…has an elite point shot…has good vision…skates well and has nice all-encompassing mobility…can handle the puck and rush it…sees his options and supports his defense partner…closes in on his man quickly. Has some improvements to make on the defensive side like his positioning and defensive reads …has times where his brain seems to cramp up…needs to be more patient in his own zone. (May 2009)
