Tessier is a highly skilled hard-working forward who is most effective when he continues to move his feet. He has good soft hands and can rush the puck up ice. He used his vision and playmaking abilities to set-up teammates. He possesses average skating but has good straight line speed and quick, agile side to side mobility. Tessier goes in hard on the forecheck and is always involved in the play whenever on the ice. He will take a shot on goal and then look for second and third chances. He drives the net and will go to the high traffic areas on the ice. He uses his teammates well and will play physical although not effectively due to his diminutive size. (May 2008)
