Commisso has been one of the Generals’ best offensive forwards as an OHL rookie this season. Every time he stepped onto the ice, he was looking to create offense and was buzzing around the puck. He is a player who plays with excellent pace and has an ability to do everything he does well at a high speed. Boasting an explosive first step and high-end straightline speed, his edge work is also of the elite variety, leading him to become highly shifty and elusive in possession. Commisso has a versatile offensive skill set and he displays excellent offensive-zone creativity, high-end vision and sound playmaking skills. However, he also displays excellent one-on one-abilities as his quick hands and strong puck control allow him to maneuver past defenders with effectiveness. A highly confident player in possession, he gets to the high-traffic areas and thrives. He’s a player who has become heavier on the puck and more aggressive on the forecheck. Commisso continually has improved on a game-to-game basis. Defensively speaking, he puts forth an excellent effort, however, he does run around and puck chase, showing little defensive-zone awareness. He is an extremely competitive player with intriguing offensive abilities and a tremendous amount of confidence.   (May 2016)
