Katchouk is a high-energy, offensively gifted winger who will do anything to help his team win. From blocking shots, taking a hit to make a play, cruising down the wing and firing the puck on net, or setting up teammates with creative passes, he can and will do it all. He displays an explosive first step and above-average straightline speed, which is evident every time he touches the ice. He is tenacious in puck pursuit and aggressive on the forecheck, using his high-end speed and willingness to engage physically to create turnovers and generate offensive chances for his team. He displays sound decision-making, rarely forcing plays or turning pucks over. The intense winger shows impressive vision and playmaking abilities, along with an intriguing amount of offensive creativity. Katchouk is effective as a playmaker or goal-scorer, and he also displays a versatile offensive repertoire. He is an excellent puckhandler, and shows strong puck control along with an uncanny ability to shield the puck with effectiveness as he drives the net with authority. He is a player who gets to the gritty areas of the ice, finishes checks and has agitating traits to his game. In his own zone, he shows impressive awareness along with strong anticipation that allow him to pick off passes or at the very least, get his stick or body in the shooting lanes.   (May 2016)
