Twitter has spoken. There will be no draft day surprise for United States Development Program standout Rocco Grimaldi.

According to the Twitterverse, the five-foot-six Grimaldi shouldn’t expect to hear his name called before the 13th overall pick.

Ranked 15th in Future Considerations’ final ranking for the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, the pint-sized offensive powerhouse has big potential to sneak into the top-10 on June 24th, or fall out of the first round completely.

“I”d say over, but not by much,” @MatiszJohn tweeted. “I think he goes 14-15. DAL/NYR won’t be able to live with themselves if they pass on Rocco.”

Others expect the Auburn Hills, MI. native who had 12 goals and 25 points in 24 games in the USHL this season to fall much further.

“Over as in he’ll be pick later,” @drescher33 said on Twitter. “I have him outside round 1. I can see 31-33 for him.”

Which team will claim Rocco Grimaldi? June 24th may hold the answer.
