Goaltender Jake Oettinger, eligible for the 2017 NHL Draft, was among the 27 players named to the United States selection camp for the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship.

The World Juniors will run Dec. 26, 2016 through Jan. 5, 2017, in Toronto and Montreal.

Oettinger, 39th in Future Considerations’ Fall ranking for the 2017 draft, is 6-4-2 with a 1.92 goals-against average and .930 save percentage in 12 games with Boston University this season. In four games at the 2016 IIHF World Under-18 Championship last April, the 17-year-old had a 1.50 goals against average and .934 save percentage.

Also named to the camp roster was defenseman Jack Ahcan of St. Cloud State University. He has two goals and 12 points in 13 games this season, and was named 2016 USHL Defenseman of the Year. Ahcan was eligible for the 2016 draft but was not selected.
