The National Hockey League has announced the 2017 NHL Draft Lottery to determine the order of the first 15 picks in the 2017 NHL Draft.

The lottery will be held Saturday, April 29 in Toronto.

The draft will take place on June 23-24 at United Center in Chicago.

The lottery will consist of three drawings. The first will determine which team selects first overall, and the second and third drawings will determine picks two and three.

Fifteen teams will participate in the lottery, including the 14 teams who did not qualify for the Stanley Cup Playoffs, as well as the expansion Vegas Golden Knights. The Golden Knights will be assigned the same odds as the team with the third-worst regular season record and will be guaranteed no lower than the sixth overall pick.
