Casey Mittelstadt continues his rise.
Mittelstadt, fourth in Future Considerations’ Fall ranking for the 2017 NHL Draft, was named USHL Forward of the Week after piecing together a six-point weekend.
The Green Bay Gamblers forward pushed his point streak to five games after recording a goal and three assists in a 7-3 win against the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders on Friday, and adding a goal and an assist in a 3-2 victory against the Des Moines Buccaneers on Saturday.
The Eden Prairie, MN native leads the USHL in scoring with 20 points in 14 games.
The Gamblers are 6-0-0-0 when Mittelstadt scores a goal, and 9-1-0-0 when he nets at least one point. He has factored in on 20 of the team’s 41 goals this season, or 49 percent of the Green Bay’s offense.
