Mantha named Ferda Hockey FC Forward of the Month

Future Considerations announced today that Anthony Mantha of the Val d’Or Foreurs has been named Ferda Hockey draft eligible Forward of the Month for October.

The 17-year-old forward has had an strong start to his season in September and has parlayed that into one of the most productive Octobers among players eligible for the 2013 NHL Draft. The Longueuil, QC product found the back of the net 14 times in the month and added eight assists for 22 points in just 11 games.

Mantha is currently 32nd in Future Considerations most recent ranking, released October 20th and is in his second full season with the Foreurs. In 63 games last season, the six-foot-three, 200-pound winger had 22 goals and 51 points.

For his efforts, Mantha is Future Considerations’ draft eligible Forward of the Month for October.

Also considered for the award was Jonathan Drouin of the Halifax Mooseheads, who scored eight goals and 15 points in six games while recording a point in every game he played in the month of October.
