Brett Leason’s assault on the Western Hockey League continues.
The WHL announced Tuesday that Leason, eligible for the 2019 NHL Draft, was named Player of the Month for November after tying for the league’s scoring lead with 24 points (11 goals, 13 assists) and extending his point streak to 26 games.
Leason leads the WHL in scoring with 60 points (27 goals, 33 assists) and has helped the Prince Albert Raiders to a 26-1-0-0 record this season.
The 19-year-old had seven multi-point games, including two four-point games, three three-point games, and two two-point games in November. He also had three multi-goal games.
Leason, who was originally selected in the third round, 50th overall, by the Tri-City Americans in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft, was also named to Canada’s selection roster for the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship.
