Saint John Sea Dogs forward Jonathan Huberdeau has been replaced by Brandon Hynes of the Victoriaville Tigres in the first game of the Subway Super Series after suffering an injury in Team QMJHL practice Monday.

The Quebec Remparts’ Anthony Duclair will substitute for Huberdeau in the second game of the series.

Huberdeau aggravated a foot injury originally suffered in the Sea Dogs’ 3-2 victory over Baie-Comeau Drakkar on Saturday and will be re-evaluated upon his return to Saint John. Rumours suggest Huberdeau has broken his foot and could be out upwards of a month.

In 13 games this season, the Florida Panthers prospect has 10 goals and 28 points.
