The Canadian Hockey League agrees.
The CHL announced Wednesday that the 2017 NHL Draft eligible prospect is the league’s player of the week after recording nine points and a plus-4 rating in two games for the Halifax Mooseheads.
Hischier was named first star in both games. He had two goals and three assists in Halifax’s 9-5 win against the Sherbrooke Phoenix, and had a hat-trick and another assist in a 7-4 win against the Charlottetown Islanders.
The 17-year-old has 17 goals and 34 points in 21 games this season.
The native of Naters, Switzerland is 20th in Future Considerations’ Fall ranking for the 2017 draft.
