Mikhail Grigorenko is a Rempart.

The 17-year-old Russian was selected second overall in the CHL Import Draft by Quebec, just days after the Remparts acquired the pick from the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.

A day prior to the Import Draft, the Remparts dealt the 11th overall pick in Wednesday’s selection process, as well as a 3rd round pick in the QMJHL Entry Draft in 2013 and a 2nd round pick in 2014 in exchange for the second overall pick, using it to select the Khabarovsk native.

The six-foot-two, 185-pound Grigorenko recorded 17 goals and 35 points in 43 MHL games with CSKA. He especially shone in the World Under-18 Championship, posting 14 assists and 18 points in seven games.

Quebec also picks 20th overall.
