Two members of the 2014 NHL Draft will represent the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in the Subway Super Series.
Defenseman Alexis Vanier of the Baie-Comeau Drakkar and Sherbrooke Phoenix pivot Daniel Audette will skate in the event, a six-game set against Team Russia.
Vanier 53rd in Future Considerations’ October Ranking for the draft, has 10 goals and 17 points in 18 games this season for Baie-Comeau, shattering his total of eight points — all assists — a season ago. Audette has enjoyed similar success. The 17-year-old has six goals and 24 points in 18 games for the Phoenix this season. The 5-foot-8, 168-pound forward is 71st in Future Considerations’ October ranking.
The duo will be joined by Daniel Walcott of the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada and Anthony DeLuca of the Rimouski Oceanic. The duo went undrafted in 2013.
