COMTOIS NAMED TO CANADA’S U18 ENTRY

Maxime Comtois is among the first six players named to represent Canada at the 2017 IIHF U18 World Championship in Poprad and Spisska Nova Ves, Slovakia from April 13-23.

Comtois, 21st in Future Considerations’ Spring ranking for the 2017 NHL Draft, will be joined by Isaac Ratcliffe (23rd) of the Guelph Storm, Jaret Anderson-Dolan (43rd) of the Spokane Chiefs, Stelio Mattheos (62nd) of the Brandon Wheat Kings, Ian Scott (60th) of the Prince Albert Raiders and Ian Mitchell (100th) of the Spruce Grove Saints.

Six underaged players have also been invited to participate in pre-competition training camp, including Ty Dellandrea of the Flint Firebirds, Anderson MacDonald of the Sherbrooke Phoenix, Jack McBain of the Toronto Jr. Canadiens, Ryan Merkley of the Guelph Storm, Ty Smith of Spokane and Akil Thomas of the Niagara IceDogs.
