The Canada West squad has announced their roster invites for the 2013 World Junior A Championship to be held from Nov. 4-10 in Nova Scotia.

A selection camp is expected to take place during the last week of October in Calgary, Alberta to pare down to a 22 man roster.

Though there are no players in the first round for Future Considerations, there are still several eligible prospects to keep an eye on. That includes Camrose Kodiaks forward Tanner MacMaster, 81st in Future Considerations’ October ranking for the 2014 NHL Draft. The 5-foot-10, 154-pound forward is committed to Boston College and was the AJHL’s rookie of the year in 2012-13.

Luke Ripley of Powell River, a 1994-born undrafted defenseman, could also make his return to the tournament while Brandon Hickey of Spruce Grove has caught the eye of some Alberta scouts.

Rosters will be pared down with a series of scrimmages and the team was selected by Hockey Canada in conjunction with the AJHL, BCHL, MJHL, SJHL, and SIJHL.
