Team White takes to the ice at 11 A.M. Please note the order of events in the entry is most recent first.

On Phil Di Giuseppe‘s first look, the kid looks thick and has some silky smooth hands. He comes in as one of the younger players and is 2012 draft eligible.

Brett Connolly skating with a lot of confidence. His NHL experience and participation last year has him feeling very comfortable on the ice.

He may be in tough to make the team, but Christian Thomas isn’t leaving anything out on the ice. Might be the hardest skater out there and he’s uncorked some impressive shots.

Tyler Bunz has it absolutely dialed in right now. For all the drills that feature two-on-none’s and breakaways, Bunz has basically bricked up the net.

Not sure if there’s anyone on the ice for White more excited or showing more jump than Mathew Dumba, the youngest player in camp. A lot of nervous energy showing off him. Dumba was Canada’s captain at the Ivan Hlinka tournament this summer.

Ryan Murray moving very well out on the ice for a player who has been sidelined so long with a high-ankle sprain. Showing no ill effects.

Team White’s look for the day:

Tyler Bunz
Scott Wedgewood

Joe Morrow – Mark Pysyk
Ryan Murray – Dougie Hamilton
Scott Harrington – Jarome Gauthier-Leduc
Mathew Dumba

Jaden Schwartz – Ryan STrome – Brett Connolly
Phil Di Giuseppe – Michael Bournival – Brett Bulmer
Michael Ferland – Mark McNeill – Brendan Gallagher
Boone Jenner – Christian Thomas
Brad Ross

Tanner Pearson definitely has a wicked shot. The best part about it? It doesn’t take him long to get it off.

The thought of a line of Phillips, Quinton Howden and Ty Rattie sounds good on paper. The way they look out there, it’s even better. Tough to call a line clicking in a no-defense drill, but the three look very smooth together.

Zack Phillips showing a lot of jump in the drills. He’s not hesitating to finish any play in these drills. It should be no surprise, as Phillips has 51 points already this season for the Saint John Sea Dogs.

He didn’t look out of place at the summer camp, and he doesn’t now. 2012 draft eligible Cody Ceci is as smooth as ever.

Team Red is the first to take the ice at practice at the WinSport complex in Calgary at 10 A.M.
