Cammarata named Ferda Hockey FC Forward of the Month

Future Considerations announced today Taylor Cammarata of the USHL’s Waterloo Black Hawks has been named Ferda Hockey FC draft eligible Forward of the Month for November.

The 17-year-old forward has had a golden November, recording four points in four games to help Team USA capture the World Junior A Challenge title in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.

The exploits of the USHL’s leading scorer weren’t just reserved for international play. The University of Minnesota commit recorded multi-point efforts in five of sixBlack Hawks games. In all, Cammarata recorded four goals and 10 assists in 18 periods of United States Hockey League action in November.

Cammarata is currently 83rd in Future Considerations November ranking. In 15 games this season, the five-foot-seven, 156-pound forward has 11 goals and 31 points. In 60 games last season, the Plymouth, MN product had 27 goals and 69 points.

For his efforts, Cammarata Ferda Hockey FC draft eligible Forward of the Month for November.

Also considered for the award was Jonathan Drouin of the Halifax Mooseheads and Nic Petan of the Portland Winterhawks.

Drouin, a runner-up for the second consecutive month, had five goals and 18 points in 10 games in the month of November for the QMJHL’s Mooseheads. On the season, the Ste-Agathe, QC product has 15 goals and 40 points in 19 games and sits 11th in league scoring. He is currently sixth in Future Considerations’ ranking for the 2013 NHL Draft.

Petan, ranked 65th by Future Considerations, had 10 goals and 23 points in 11 games for the Portland Winterhawks of the WHL. Third in league scoring, the Delta, BC product has 16 goals and 44 points in 25 games this season.
