Justin Bergeron of the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies has been named the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s defenseman of the month for March.

Bergeron, 87th in Future Considerations’ Spring ranking for the 2019 NHL Draft, had seven points (three goals, four assists) and a plus-12 rating in eight games in the abbreviated month, including a pair of three-game point streaks.

The 18-year-old, who went undrafted last season, held an even rating or better in every game during the month, part of a longer streak that now reaches 22 games.

Bergeron finished the regular season with 57 points (16 goals, 41 assists) in 65 games — third-best among QMJHL defensemen.
