There will be no feats of strength coming from two of the 2013 NHL Draft’s top prospects.
Both Darnell Nurse and Aleksander Barkov will be in attendance at the 2013 NHL Draft Combine but will not be participating in the physical testing after suffering injuries in their respective playoff chases.
Barkov suffered an upper-body injury on the first shift of Tappara’s playoff game against IFK Helsinki on March 27th. He underwent surgery nearly a month ago to repair his injured shoulder. He’s currently fourth in Future Considerations’ April Ranking for the 2013 NHL Draft.
Nurse, ranked fifth, had to turn down an appearance with Canada’s gold medal winning entry at the World Under-18 Championship in April.
