#WEARECALGARY

Being based in Calgary, the Southern Alberta floods have hit Future Considerations close to home.

Calgary has been the only home for Future Considerations in the six seasons we’ve been around and it is painful to see what the city and its citizens have been put through in the past 48 hours.

Painful, yet taken aback by the way this city has reached out, bonded and rebounded from such devastation. The show of community has uplifted a city in despair. The citizens of this fine city have shone through in this state of emergency. Over 100,000 people were evacuated from their homes in Calgary, yet shelters only needed to accommodate 1,500.
