With the 25th overall selection in the National Hockey League Draft, Future Considerations selects…
…Sven Baertschi
Though he has just 25 games to his credit, Baertschi has shown — at times — that he has the makeup of being an impact player for the Calgary Flames. After a brief audition as an emergency recall last season, the Swiss forward had an up-and-down rookie campaign in Calgary but finished with points in his final seven games of the season.
That streak has sparked optimism that the 20-year-old is able to parlay that into a strong start for the Flames next year.
