With the 20th overall selection in the National Hockey League Draft, Future Considerations selects…

…Brandon Saad.

After falling out of the first round and being swept up by the Chicago Blackhawks, Saad almost made the NHL months after being the 43rd overall pick in 2011. Though he was returned to the Saginaw Spirit after just two games, The 20-year-old rebounded with an incredible season in the Ontario Hockey League.

This season, Saad started with the Rockford IceHogs before joining Chicago after the work stoppage ended and flourished, scoring 10 goals and 27 points in 46 games. He’s also made an impact in the playoffs, with four assists in 17 games.
