With the 19th overall selection in the National Hockey League Draft, Future Considerations selects…

…Zemgus Girgensons.

Just a season removed from being selected 14th overall by the Buffalo Sabres, the former Dubuque Fighting Saints forward made his professional debut with the Rochester Americans, scoring six goals and 17 points in 61 games.

The Latvian, one of the few to play professional hockey in North America at age 18, also added three goals in three games in Rochester’s brief run to the Calder Cup.
